The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of characters who will separate from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might seem mismatched, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group knows exactly where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise started the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each character has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the region and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the party enter locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them little choice but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight players to form the Seekers and Planners parties.

Audiences can look forward to learning which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
