It's tough for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

It needed up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, regaining their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It's challenging for their batters to maintain a record if not provided the possibility.

In the end, the result of Australia conceding 330 was leader Alyssa Healy being given a platform to create her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the teenage relative of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her nation failed to win either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 trophy-laden years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup happened three months after her debut and seven international trophies have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was also there in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India temporarily stopped the winning streak.

That loss "pushed us to rethink our standards," Healy commented earlier.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the championship match and was awarded tournament MVP. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance surpassed that earlier display is debatable.

Certain people claim the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was much more difficult to see coming.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in training, it was a frustrating experience because I feel like I've had no rhythm completely," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was dismissed her side required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the assurance to do that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we are confident we can achieve it."

These statements will be the last rival teams at this tournament should hear.

In recent days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory succeeding success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they left last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she afterwards commented she wished she had played through the pain.

But while she later admitted those physical issues have delayed plans to retire, this tournament is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as leader.

Triumph in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
